What Could Prevent Hair Loss?

Our hair is our crowning glory, and it is a really sad thing to watch this crown lose its luster, go brittle, go thin or go totally bald just because we neglect proper care of it on a daily and regular basis. A deficiency or the total absence of the vitamins and minerals necessary for the natural normal growth of the hair causes the hair to thin at a fast rate, and eating the right kind of food will help prevent this. Our fast-paced corporate lifestyle encourages eating convenience food that are heavily processed for longer shelf life - shy away from too much of these fat-rich food, like processed meat that our digestive system find difficult to dissolve. Have more of that fiber-rich diet instead like wheat and bran, that aid in the elimination of toxic waste in our body and cleansing our system.

Regular physical exercise is a must. Do not be cooped up at that office desk job all day. You have at least an hour of lunch break; do not go back to your desk just yet after a regular lunch -- go out and take that brisk walk around the block first. That should tone your muscles some and make you perspire a little, just enough to keep your sebum coming out of those pores for that healthy sheen on your skin and scalp, leaving all your body hair breathing freely, feeling refreshed. If you still have some time left after all that brisk walking, consider taking a brief shower so you won't feel sticky from all that walking. But if you don't have enough time left, you may skip the shower and get back to work, lest your boss mistakes your healthy movement to "loafing around."

One good habit handed down to us by our folks is that practice of regularly massaging the scalp. Give your scalp that much-cherished hundred brush strokes at night, using that hairbrush with the gentle bristles that massages the scalp gently and evenly leaves the hair healthy and shiny and smelling good. Do not use sharp-tipped brushes that gash your scalp, as it will traumatize the scalp and damage your hair and could cause your hair to fall off.

Live a healthy lifestyle. If you do not take a drastic total drive towards the prevention of this problem of hair loss, you will suffer the consequences for it, and then it would be too late to do anything about it short of an even more drastic means to restore the hair back to its natural and normal state.
